Citi Extends Its Reach in the Netherlands

London – Citi has appointed Ruud Hendriks as a senior advisor for its markets businesses in the Netherlands, a role designed to facilitate deeper relations with Dutch investors across a wide range of asset classes.

Hendriks will work closely with Citi’s Equity and Private Investor Solutions Group, which provides risk management and investment solutions to a broad range of investors. Equity and Private Investor Solutions is led in the EMEA region by Carolina Minio-Paluello, while Stephen Birkwood within that group is responsible for the Netherlands.

Hendriks was previously co-head of sales for Europe (excluding Germany and Austria), Middle East and Africa for Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM). Prior to that, he was global head of institutional sales at Robeco, the Dutch asset manager.

The appointment represents another step in the expansion of Citi’s investor solutions business and underlines its commitment to clients in the Netherlands.

“This is a unique opportunity to extend Citi’s reach within the Dutch market,” said Minio-Paluello. “Ruud is one of the most experienced and distinguished professionals in the Dutch institutional investor space, having spent decades covering this client base at both Robeco and GSAM.”

In addition to his newly appointed role at Citi, Hendriks currently serves as a senior advisor to KKR, a non-executive chairman of MAN Group Plc’s institutional department, the president of Man Investments SGR S.p.A. and the chairman of the advisory board at Financial Assets.
